Unfortunately, they dont always look the best, as is the case with most Maxis content.
The game itself allows tattoos to be placed in several locations on the Sims body, and theres a decent but somewhat limited range of tattoos to choose from. It pairs perfectly with mods that add fake eyelashes, but its also nice if players are looking for a natural look with minimal lashes. It completely removes them and can be found within the skin details section. The simplified, cartoon-like style of the game can easily take away from immersion, and ruin the CAS experience. That being said, The Sims 4 does feel like a step back compared to The Sims 3 in many ways. Where EA has at times failed players hard by refusing to provide certain features like realistic height differences or even better hairlines, the community comes in to provide content. If you want to change your Sims 4 experience but only from a visual standpoint, you definitely need to give these impressive mods a try. There are custom versions of clothes, make-up, accessories, and pretty much anything that your heart could ever desire.
